Questions

Can you unlock a PDF if I don’t know the password?

No. You need the password that opens the file (or its owner password). PdfNext does not guess or crack passwords.

Is my password sent anywhere?

No. The password and the file are used only by your browser, on this device. Nothing is uploaded.

My PDF opens without a password but won’t let me print or copy. Can this help?

Yes. Some PDFs have an owner password that limits printing, copying or editing. Add the file and tap Remove password; the copy you download has no restrictions.

Which kinds of encryption work?

The standard PDF password protection: 40-bit and 128-bit RC4, 128-bit AES and 256-bit AES. Files locked with certificates or DRM plug-ins are not supported.
